This page is not a copy of the circular. It tells you three things no other result page does: exactly who you are competing against in your own board, when the server is actually usable on result night, and what each result status means in terms of your next 48 hours.

Full Schedule with Consequences

Most sites give you the dates. This table gives you what happens if you miss each one.

DateStageIf you miss it
2–10 Sep 2026Online applicationClosed. Only rescrutiny cases could still apply.
12–13 Sep 2026Rescrutiny applicants + choice list changeChoice list is now locked. It cannot be edited after the result.
16 Sep, 8:00 PMSelection result publishedNothing is lost by checking late, but confirmation time shrinks.
18 Sep, 8:00 PMSelection confirmation (nishchayon)Selection AND application both cancelled. This is final.
19 Sep, 8:00 PMMigration resultAutomatic — no action needed, but check it before going to college.
20–22 Sep 2026Admission at collegeSeat released. The college can fill it from the waiting merit list.
23 Sep 2026Classes beginYou start behind.

The 19 September deadline is the one that ends admissions for people every year. Set two phone alarms — one for the evening of 16 September and one for the morning of 19 September.

What Changed This Year: One Round, Not Three

If you are reading an older guide — or an older page on another site — you will see a 1st, 2nd and 3rd merit list with two migration rounds. That structure is not being used for the 2026-27 session. The admission policy published on 24 August 2026 runs a single application round, a single selection result, and a single migration result.

Migration rounds21

Why this matters: in past years, missing confirmation in phase 1 was recoverable. This year there is no published phase 2 to fall into. Treat 19 September as a hard wall.

Who You Are Actually Competing Against

Here is the number that decides whether you get your first-choice college: how many GPA-5 holders are in your own board. Colleges fill their top seats from the highest merit scores in the applicant pool, and that pool is overwhelmingly board-local because students choose colleges near home.

GPA-5 Holders by Board — SSC 2026

SSC 2026 GPA-5 holders by education board
Dhaka 33,253
Rajshahi 16,113
Dinajpur 13,639
Jessore 11,478
Comilla 9,814
Chittagong 9,398
Madrasah 6,716
Mymensingh 5,700
Technical 3,951
Sylhet 3,836
Barisal 2,778
Total GPA-5: 1,16,676 · National pass rate: 62.25% · Total passed: 11,38,877

How to read this for your own case:

If you are in…GPA-5 competitionWhat it means for your choice list
Dhaka board33,253 — by far the highestGPA 5.00 alone does not secure a top Dhaka college. Ranking 8–10 realistic colleges is not optional.
Rajshahi, Dinajpur, Jessore11,000–16,000Top 2–3 colleges are genuinely competitive; districts below that are comfortable.
Comilla, Chittagong~9,500 eachTop-tier city colleges tight, everything else accessible.
Sylhet, Barisal, Mymensingh2,700–5,700GPA 5.00 puts you in a very strong position for the best college in the division.
Madrasah, Technical6,716 / 3,951Alim and equivalent seats are plentiful; the constraint is subject group, not merit.

See college-wise GPA requirements to match these numbers against actual cutoffs.

The Seat Reality Most Pages Get Wrong

There are roughly 25 lakh Class XI seats nationally. 11,38,877 students passed SSC 2026. That means over 13 lakh seats will sit empty when the session starts.

The takeaway: nobody is short of seats. They are short of preferred seats. If you are not selected on 16 September, it is almost always because your choice list contained too many high-demand colleges — not because the country ran out of places.

How to Check XI Class Admission Result 2026

Method 1 — Official Portal (primary)

  1. Open xiclassadmission.gov.bd in any browser.
  2. Click the Result / View Result option on the homepage.
  3. Enter your SSC roll number, registration number, education board and passing year.
  4. Complete the captcha if one appears, and submit.
  5. Your allocated college, group, shift and version will display.
  6. Screenshot or download the page immediately, before the session times out.

Method 2 — SMS (automatic)

The board sends a selection SMS to the mobile number you entered during application. You do not need to request it. That message contains a security code — store it safely, because you will need it for confirmation and at the college.

If your registered SIM is lost or inactive, use the portal instead. Do not change the number now; it is tied to your application.

Board Name Codes (for admission SMS)

Result Night: When the Server Is Actually Usable

The portal handles a national traffic spike at 8:00 PM. Roughly 10 lakh people load the same page in the same ten minutes. This is the single most practical thing to know on 16 September, and no other result page tells you.

Time windowExpected portal conditionRecommendation
8:00 – 8:30 PMHeaviest load. Timeouts, blank pages, failed submits.Only try if you can accept repeated failures.
8:30 – 10:00 PMStill congested but improving.Workable with patience.
10:00 PM – 12:00 AMLoad drops sharply.Best window for most people.
6:00 – 9:00 AM (18 Sep)Lightest traffic of the cycle.Best for downloading and printing documents.

Three rules for result night:

  • Refreshing repeatedly makes it worse, not better. Wait 60 seconds between attempts.
  • Use mobile data and Wi-Fi alternately if one network stalls.
  • Do not use any third-party “result check” site that asks for your PIN or security code. The portal never needs a payment to show your result.

Migration: What Actually Happens

Migration moves you upward through your own choice list only. It runs automatically after confirmation closes, and the result publishes on 19 September at 8:00 PM.

Your situationWill migration move you?
Selected at choice #1No — you are already at the top
Selected at choice #4, seats open at #2Yes, if your merit score clears #2’s cutoff
Selected at choice #3, seats open at #6No — migration never moves downward
Selected but did not confirmNo — you are out of the process entirely
Wanted a college you never listedNo — it must be on your original choice list

When you migrate, your old seat is released automatically. Do not go to the old college. Check the migration result on the night of 19 September before you travel anywhere.

Admission Fees After Selection

District sadar collegesAround BDT 2,000
Upazila collegesBDT 1,500 (lowest)

The board fee rose from BDT 335 last year to BDT 340 this year. A college charging above the ceiling for its category is violating the admission policy, and you can report it to your education board.

Seat Distribution: 93% Merit, 7% Quota

There is no admission test and no interview. Allocation is SSC result, choice list, and seat availability only.

CategoryShareWho qualifies
General merit93%Everyone
Freedom fighter quota5%Children of freedom fighters or martyred freedom fighters
Education quota EQ-11%Children of Ministry of Education staff
Education quota EQ-21%Children of staff at 28 departments/agencies under the Ministry

Critical warning: the inter-board committee has stated that applying under a quota you do not qualify for makes you ineligible for admission even if you are selected. Grandchildren of freedom fighters do not qualify. Attested proof or a gazette copy must be submitted and the original shown at admission. If no eligible quota candidate is found, the seat goes to the merit list rather than staying vacant. This quota structure applies to the 2026-27 session only.

Tie-Breaking: How Equal GPAs Are Separated

If two students have the same GPA, total marks decide the merit position. Beyond that:

GroupOrder of comparison
ScienceGeneral maths → higher maths or biology → English → physics → chemistry
HumanitiesEnglish → mathematics → Bangla
Business StudiesEnglish → mathematics → Bangla
Group change applicantsTotal marks → English → mathematics → Bangla

Madrasah, Technical and Bangladesh Open University results are converted to an equivalent scale before the merit list is built. The same conversion applies to results from earlier years.

If You Are Not Selected on 16 September

Because the session runs on a single application round, there is no automatic second phase in the published schedule. What to do:

  1. Check the portal and your board’s own website directly. Any additional opportunity for unselected students will be announced there first.
  2. Follow the notice section on this site — we publish board notices as they come.
  3. Do not act on forwarded Facebook or WhatsApp messages. Fake “second phase” posts appear every year within hours of the result.
  4. Talk to colleges near you with vacant seats. With over 13 lakh seats unfilled nationally, most districts have genuine capacity.
