HSC College List 2026 for All Education Boards. The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) published the XI Class Admission Policy 2026–27 on Monday, 24 August 2026. Online applications open on 2 September and classes begin on 23 September 2026. If you’ve just passed SSC or an equivalent exam and are trying to work out which colleges you can apply to — and by when — this page brings the full schedule and the complete board-wise college list into one place.

The seat counts and minimum GPA shown come directly from each board’s published list, and are updated as boards release their figures for the year — so the totals you see will keep growing as more boards publish through the admission window.

Every application will go through the official portal, xiclassadmission.gov.bd. This page is an independent guide to help you prepare before you get there — it is not the government portal itself.

A seat that isn’t confirmed by the 19 September deadline is automatically cancelled, and the application is treated as void — so if you’re selected, don’t wait until the last hour to confirm.

If your SSC result changed after a board re-scrutiny or re-evaluation request, you get a separate short window (12–13 September) to submit a fresh application or revise your college preference order based on the new GPA.

Bangladesh runs XI Class admission through 11 boards: Dhaka, Rajshahi, Chattogram, Cumilla, Jashore, Sylhet, Barishal, Dinajpur, Mymensingh, Madrasah (Alim), and Technical. Each board publishes its own list of participating colleges along with the minimum GPA and number of seats per group, shift, and version (Bangla/English).

Group Selection Rules for 2026

The 2026 policy keeps the same group-eligibility structure as previous years:

• Science group students can apply to Science, Humanities, or Business Studies.
• Business Studies or Humanities students can apply within Business Studies and Humanities, but not to Science.
• Madrasah board students follow the same cross-group rules as general board students.
• Regardless of group, any student can additionally apply for Home Science or Music as an elective subject where a college offers it.

Check each college’s group, shift, and version columns carefully before adding it to your choice list — a college may offer Science only in the Morning shift, for instance, while its Day shift is Humanities and Business Studies only.

Which Colleges Are Banned From Admission This Year

Two restrictions in the 2026 policy are worth knowing before you apply:

• An institution that only has permission to establish but not the primary permission to teach cannot admit any XI Class student this year, under any circumstance.
• A college that does hold teaching permission or recognition still cannot enrol students into a campus that isn’t approved, or into a subject/group it isn’t approved to teach.

If a college you’re considering looks unusually new, or offers a group you haven’t seen it associated with before, it’s worth confirming its approval status before ranking it on your preference list.
