The migration result for XI class admission 2026-27 publishes on 19 September 2026 at 8:00 PM at xiclassadmission.gov.bd. It runs automatically after seat confirmation closes on 18 September at 8:00 PM.
Migration is the system’s one attempt to move you up your own choice list. You do not apply for it, you do not pay for it, and you cannot lose your seat because of it. There is only one migration this session — not the two or three used in earlier years.

How Migration Actually Works
When students confirm their seats, a lot of seats also go unclaimed — students who did not confirm, and students who were selected somewhere they will not attend. Those seats become vacant.
Migration redistributes them. The system looks at everyone who confirmed, checks whether a college higher on their own choice list now has a vacancy, and moves up whoever clears that college’s merit cutoff.
Three rules govern it, and every misunderstanding comes from missing one of them:
1. It only moves you up. If you were selected at your 3rd choice, migration can put you in your 2nd or 1st. It will never move you to your 5th.
2. It only uses colleges you listed. Migration cannot place you in a college that was not on your original choice list, however many seats that college has left. Your list was locked on 13 September and cannot be edited now.
3. It never cancels your confirmed seat. If nothing opens up above you, you simply keep the college you already have. There is no scenario where migration leaves you with less than you started.
Who Takes Part in Migration
Only students who completed confirmation and paid the 340 taka by 18 September, 8:00 PM.
This is the part worth repeating, because students get it backwards every year. Holding back on confirmation does not keep your options open — it removes you from migration entirely, along with your application. If you were selected at a college you did not want, confirming was the only way to stay in line for a better one.
If you missed the confirmation deadline, migration does not apply to you. Watch the portal and your board’s notice board for any further announcement.
How to Check Your Migration Result
- Open xiclassadmission.gov.bd after 8:00 PM on 19 September.
- Log in with your User ID and PIN.
- Open your result card.
- Read the college name, EIIN, group, shift and version.
If the college is different from before, you have migrated. If it is the same, you have not — and that is a normal outcome, not a failure.
An SMS is also sent to students who moved. Treat the portal as the record; SMS delivery is often delayed.
Check this before you travel anywhere. If you migrated, your old seat was released the moment the result published. Turning up at the old college with your documents on 20 September wastes a day you do not have.

Why You Did Not Migrate
This is the most common question on the night of the 19th, and it usually has a dull answer.
No vacancy opened above you. Popular colleges fill completely at confirmation. If every college above your position on your list is full, there is nothing to move into.
A vacancy opened but your merit did not clear it. Vacant seats go to the highest merit scores among students who listed that college. If several people wanted the same seat, the one with the better result took it.
You were already at your first choice. Nothing above it exists.
None of these mean anything went wrong with your application. Migration is a bonus round, not a second result.
Should You Turn Auto Migration Off?
Auto migration is on by default. You do not need to do anything to take part.
For almost everyone, leaving it on is the right call. You can only move up your own list, so there is no downside to keeping it active.
Turning it off makes sense in one narrow case: you are content with your current college and you need certainty right now — a hostel booking, a transport arrangement, a family decision that cannot wait two days. Switching migration off makes your current college final, so nothing can change on the 19th.
Be careful with that choice. Once auto migration is switched off, you cannot turn it back on. If you are not certain, leave it alone.

Migration involves no extra fee and no second confirmation. The 340 taka you already paid carries over to the new college.
Go to whichever college your result card shows after 19 September, with:
- SSC marksheet and certificate
- SSC registration card and admit card
- Testimonial from your school
- Passport-size photographs
- Confirmation slip and security code
- Quota documents, if applicable
- The college admission fee

“Migration will get me into a college I did not apply to.”
No. It only uses colleges from your own submitted list.
“I should wait for migration before paying the confirmation fee.”
Backwards. Confirmation is what qualifies you for migration.
“My college changed, so my old admission is cancelled and I lost money.”
Nothing is lost. The seat transfers, and so does your payment.
“There will be another migration later.”
Not this session. One migration, on 19 September.
“I can ask the board to move me to a specific college.”
No. The process is automatic and merit-based. Nobody can intervene in it.
