XI Class Admission 2nd Phase

XI Class Admission 2nd Phase 2026-27: Apply Date, Eligibility, Fee

The Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee has announced a second phase of online applications for Class XI (HSC 1st year) admission for the 2026-27 session. If you missed the first round, did not get a college, or lost your seat, this is your second chance. The application window is only about two days, so read this guide first and be ready before it opens.

Why a Second Phase?

The first phase result came out on 16 September 2026. According to board figures reported in the press, about 9.95 lakh students applied, submitting over 56 lakh college choices in total. Around 9.81 lakh students were allocated a college, roughly 98% of applicants, against about 25 lakh available seats in colleges and madrasahs.

Some students still missed out. They either got no college, did not confirm in time, could not complete admission, or chose the wrong quota. Reports cite different board figures for students left without a seat in phase one, from about 14,400 to about 25,000. The second phase gives all of them another opportunity. Classes for first-phase students began on 24 September.

Who Can Apply in the 2nd Phase?

The board has allowed three categories of students:

  1. Never applied, or applied but got no college. New applicants complete the full application. Students who applied earlier only log in and edit or complete their college choices.
  2. Selected but could not confirm, or could not enroll in time. If you missed the confirmation or college admission deadline, you can apply again.
  3. Selected but rejected because of a wrong quota. If your college refused admission because you were not eligible for the quota you chose, you can reapply with the correct quota.

The notice does not list students who have already confirmed and enrolled. If you are satisfied with your college, no further action is needed.

Application Fee

  • New applicants: the standard online application fee of BDT 220 applies.
  • First-phase applicants who got no college: no new fee. Log in to the portal and complete your college selection or edit it.
  • Confirmation fee: payable after the result, as in the first phase. Most current guides put it at around BDT 340, and some outlets say BDT 335. Check the exact amount on the portal before paying.

How to Apply: Step by Step

  1. Open xiclassadmission.gov.bd on the morning of 27 September.
  2. New applicant: enter your SSC board, roll number, registration number and passing year, then verify your name and GPA.

How to Choose Colleges Smartly

  • Check the minimum GPA and available seats for your group. Our guide to college GPA requirements and seat numbers explains how these two numbers decide your chances.
  • Use the HSC college list 2026 for all education boards to search by board, group and seats.
  • Seats at popular colleges are likely to be limited by now, so check the live seat count before ranking them.
  • Mix your list: a few ambitious choices at the top, realistic ones in the middle, and safe options at the bottom.
  • Use all 10 slots. More choices mean a lower chance of ending up with no seat again.
  • Migration moves you up your own list if a higher choice opens up, so rank in your true order of preference.

Documents Needed for College Admission

Keep these ready for the college admission dates (5 to 7 October), as in the first phase:

  • SSC marksheet and certificate copy (an online copy where accepted)
  • SSC admit card
  • 2 to 4 passport-size photos
  • A printed copy of your online application confirmation
  • Mobile numbers of the student and a guardian

Colleges may ask for extra papers. Check your college’s notice.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Applying at the last minute on 28 September, when the server may be slow
  • Choosing a quota you do not qualify for
  • Forgetting to confirm after the result. A college name on your result is not admission yet.
  • Missing the college admission dates from 5 to 7 October
  • Using unofficial websites for payment or application

After You Apply
