St. Gregory’s High School & College has published the Class XI admission circular for the 2026-2027 academic year. The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dhaka has permitted the institution to admit students through its own process, so admission here does not happen through the central XI class admission system. Applications are being accepted online for male students only.

St Gregory’s College Admission Eligibility 2026
A candidate must have passed the SSC examination of 2026. Science applicants, in both the Bangla and the English version, must have studied Higher Mathematics and Biology in SSC. Students of the Bangla version cannot apply for the English version, and applications from ‘O’ Level students are not accepted.

How to Apply for St Gregory’s College Admission 2026
Applications are open from 12:01 AM on 1 September 2026 until 2:00 PM on 12 September 2026. Follow these steps:
- Go to https://sghscdhaka.edu.bd/admission, or open www.sghscdhaka.edu.bd and click the Admission link.
- Fill in the application form using the information on your SSC examination admit card and academic transcript.
- Check the form carefully before submitting, because a form filled in wrongly can cost you the application.
- Pay the admission test fee of Tk 500 through the SSL Commerz Payment Gateway. The amount is non-refundable and payment gateway charges are extra.
- Download the admit card after payment and keep a printed copy. You will not be allowed to sit the test without it.
St Gregory’s Admission Test Subjects and Syllabus
The admission test is taken according to the SSC examination 2026 syllabus. If a Science group student applies for Business Studies or Humanities, he has to answer the Science group question paper. If a Business Studies student applies for Humanities, he has to answer the Business Studies question paper.
- Science (Bangla and English version): Bangla, English, Physics, Chemistry, Higher Mathematics and Biology.
- Business Studies: Bangla, English, Accounting, Business Entrepreneurship, and Finance and Banking.
- Humanities: Bangla, English, General Science, Geography and Environment, History and World Civilization, and Economics and Civics.
The circular also states clearly that no coaching is needed to prepare for this admission test. The SSC syllabus you have just finished is the syllabus for the test.
St Gregory’s College Admission Test Date 2026
The admission test will be held on Sunday, 13 September 2026 at 9:00 AM. You must bring two documents with you to the examination hall:
- The admit card issued to you for the admission test.
- Your original SSC examination admit card.
St Gregory’s College Admission Result 2026
Final selection is made on the basis of the marks obtained in the written test and the viva voce together with the GPA obtained in the SSC examination. The result, the merit list, the waiting list and all other admission related information will be published on the institution website www.sghscdhaka.edu.bd, on the Facebook page facebook.com/sghscdhaka and on the college notice board. The authority reserves the right to take any decision regarding admission.
Admission Notice for Gregorians
Students who passed the SSC examination 2026 from St. Gregory’s High School itself are admitted directly, without the selection test, if they meet the minimum GPA: 4.78 for Science in both the Bangla and English version, and 3.50 for Business Studies. For a change of department the requirement is 4.00 and above from Science to Business Studies, and 3.00 and above from Science or Business Studies to Humanities.
Eligible Gregorians were asked to collect the admission form from room number 102 on 31 August and 1 September 2026 between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM, showing the original SSC admit card and registration card. The form, along with a copy of the online mark sheet, has to be presented at an interview with the Principal or the Vice Principal on the following dates.

According to the notice, a Gregorian who does not collect the form and attend the interview within the dates and times mentioned above will get no further opportunity to be admitted to this college.
Rules of the Institution
The circular encourages only those students to apply who are willing to wear the uniform fixed by the college, to attend regular classes and practical classes, and to follow the discipline of the college. Students who smoke are asked not to apply.
